Every square metre contributes to a better future.
The Pulse of Amsterdam will be an icon of sustainability. From recycled materials and solar panels to electric mobility and its own urban forest, everything is focused on liveability. The building will receive the BREEAM Outstanding label, the highest score in the field of sustainability.
A green oasis in the middle of the city
The Pulse connects the Amsterdamse Bos, the Amstelscheg and the Nieuwe Meer with its own urban ecosystem. In front of the building is a lively city square, on the south side a park for sports and games, and between the towers a spectacular 35-metre-high urban forest. These natural spaces contribute to biodiversity, cooling and a healthy living environment – for residents, workers and the city.
Health, comfort and tranquillity in every square metre
The Pulse is designed for people. Optimal air quality, daylighting and acoustics create a pleasant living and working environment that supports mental and physical health. The high proportion of fresh air also limits the spread of viruses. The result? A safe, comfortable place where you feel good and are productive.
Room for growth – for people and organisations
A building where people thrive. The Pulse promotes health and productivity through smart spatial choices and technical solutions. Think of an inviting stairwell, healthy air flows, plenty of daylight and green elements (biophilia). Each layer contributes to well-being and performance, both at work and at home.
Sustainable in thought and action
The Pulse was designed with circularity in mind. Materials are recyclable or reusable, the building can be partially dismantled, and considerable attention has been paid to energy conservation. Solar panels on the roof and in the façade generate energy and protect against solar heat. The façade is finished with biocomposite made from food waste – an innovative and sustainable choice.
Smart, clean and ready for the future
Living or working in The Pulse means living with a low footprint and a high level of comfort. Thanks to advanced technology, the building is energy neutral. Smart water management, a thermal storage system and electric mobility contribute to an efficient, sustainable living environment. Good for the planet and for your energy bill.
